About the Author

For more than 25 years, Bruce Jones has been transporting audiences into some of Hollywood’s most memorable stories. As an Artist, Director, and Visual Effects Supervisor, his vision has shaped many well-known titles, including three Star Trek series (The Next Generation, Deep Space 9, and Voyager), Sam Raimi’s Drag Me to Hell, the Italian Job and Spawn, to name but a few.  A dynamic storyteller, Bruce was even tasked with re-imagining Michael Jackson’s iconic “Thriller” video for This Is It, Jackson’s planned comeback tour and subsequent documentary.

Formally trained in Fine Arts with an emphasis in painting, writing, music, and animation. Bruce began his career as an Art Director for the motion picture industry upon graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  His work since then has spanned feature film, television, animation, music videos, commercials, webisodes, 3D films, Imax, and more.

With the release of the first novel in his Great Rift Trilogy, The Becoming, Jones adds a new medium for his ideas. Although his career focus continues to be on visual effects supervision and directing, his passion for painting, writing, and music continues.

Bruce resides in Montana, Los Angeles, or whatever part of the world he’s currently filming in, which probably explains the depth of his imaginary worlds.
